The mighty (but mini) Checkmate ITX form factor computer case

Following the success of his first Kickstarter project, Stephen Jones (Director and Developer at Checkmate) was inspired to do another one, this time turning his attention to the mini ITX form factor.

We began this project with a complete overhaul of the packaging design with a modern retro vibe that matches the product case. In order to attract investors on Kickstarter, we also created a series of promotional videos to showcase the product and pay tribute to the people and technology that inspired many in the 1980s. The Kickstarter campaign was an absolute hit, surpassing its £50,000 target by over £14,000!

Introducing the Checkmate 19" IPS Retro Monitor

In 2022, Stephen Jones decided to undertake his third and most ambitious Kickstarter project yet - the development and manufacture of a 19" IPS Retro Monitor. This would require him to raise an eye-watering £249,000. To help the project reach its enormous funding target, we created a product promo video to excite potential investors. The project was a huge success generating a whopping £357,558!
