The founder of Checkmate A1500 Plus, Stephen Jones, approached me to create a video ident for his YouTube channel. I created this video by compiling existing content from his channel into a single video and then placing that into a 3D model of an old Amiga that I purchased online. To open and animate the model I used the 3D animation software, Blender. In Blender, I was able to achieve a high level of photo-realism by applying a three-point lighting setup to the model and by shading it with a variety of textures, bump maps and reflections. I was also able to set up multi-camera shots within Blender, including distant swooping shots, pans and extreme close-ups.
